over the past 3 years we’ve been commissioned to work with an Edinburgh based Scottish cashmere, lambswool, tartan and tweeds inc Harris Tweed manufacturer to create stand alone brands for sale on the high street, online and duty free. from tailored jackets, scarves and gloves, baseball, flat caps + beanies.

our brief was to create a brand for hand made tailored tweeds. we wished to represent the strong Scottish roots with a brand that felt established, exuded quality + finesse with a touch of luxe and could grow across the mens and womenswear collections. an iD that let the beautiful products and heritage do the talking.

The woolen tailored tweeds are made by hand from beautiful sustainable, Scottish yarn. It was vital that the Heddle & Reed brand honours this in every aspect.

brand iD clean distinct font that holds air + space effortlessly, balanced with the crafted hatch motif to represent the beautifully woven threads of fine tweed. the words can be woven easily, printed with ink + foil | garment label a flat deep navy, combines with matt gold weave + an antique brass hang chain | swing tag gold foiled onto a substantial Colorplan stock, cut corners, layered behind with a piece of Scotland photograph + collection description held together with a grossgrain ribbon

application › designed with the deepest roots to be adaptable + flexbile across all mediums of fabric labelling, print, in-store merchandising materials + across digital.
